What counts as abuse
- A form pretending to be a bank, a government body or a company it does not belong to, or asking for passwords, codes or card numbers.
- Unsolicited email you received through Formwire, including confirmation emails you never asked for.
- Repeated email aimed at you or someone else to harass or intimidate.
- Malware or illegal content shared through a form or file upload.
- Anything else listed in the acceptable use policy.
If you received a legitimate email from a site you did use and simply want it to stop, reply to that email or contact the site directly; the site owner controls their own forms.
How to report
Email abuse@formwire.com and include as much of this as you can:
- The URL of the form or page, if you know it.
- What happened, in a sentence.
- When you received the email.
- The email itself, forwarded or pasted. If it has a "Report abuse" link at the bottom, use that link: it adds a reference that tells us which submission sent it.
- Your email address, if you want a reply.
The link above opens a prefilled email with these fields. A report with just the forwarded email is enough to start.
For a security vulnerability in Formwire itself, see how to report it instead.
What we do
- A person reads the report and replies.
- We find the form from the email and look at it and the submissions involved. We do not look at anything else in that workspace.
- For clear phishing, credential theft or malware we suspend the form or the whole workspace immediately. Otherwise we email the owner with the report and a deadline to fix it.
- We tell you the outcome. We do not share your details with the form owner unless you ask us to.
A suspended form sends nothing and answers every submission with an error. Repeated or serious abuse closes the account under the terms of service.
