Inbox, Spam and Archive

Three folders per form. New submissions arrive in Inbox, spam is kept out of the way, and Archive clears the list without deleting anything. Search any field and move submissions in bulk.

Open a submission and you see every field, the page it was posted from, when it arrived, and a delivery log: each email, webhook and confirmation email with its attempts and result.

  • Deleted submissions sit in a trash you can restore from for 30 days.
  • Each form keeps submissions for 30 days. On Pro, set a longer retention, up to 365 days, in its settings.

CSV and JSON export

Export any folder to CSV or JSON with one click from the inbox, newest first. Field names are kept exactly as your form sent them, so the file drops into a spreadsheet without cleanup.

Read API and MCP server

Create an API key with read or read-and-write access and query submissions from your own code. The same data is available to Claude Code and Cursor through the Formwire MCP server.

How it works

Read submissions from your code

Create a read-only API key in the dashboard, then list a form's submissions over HTTPS.

    Go to Settings, API keys, and create a key with read access.

    List submissions for a form, filtered by folder, with the key as a bearer token.

  3. 3

    Or click Export CSV at the top of the inbox for a file of the current folder.

    Point Claude Code or Cursor at the Formwire MCP server to read the same inbox from your editor.

Questions about submission inbox

How long are submissions kept?

Each form has a retention setting. New forms keep 30 days, and on Pro you can raise it to 365 days in the form's settings, the API or MCP. Trash and spam are purged after 30 days.

Can I get my data out?

Yes. Export any folder to CSV or JSON, read it over the API, or delete it. Nothing locks you in.

Is the read API on the free plan?

Yes. API keys with read or read-and-write access are available on every plan.

Where is the data stored?

In Cloudflare's US or EU region, chosen per workspace when you create it. Files are stored in Cloudflare R2 in the same region, and submissions never move between regions.
