Every submission lands in your inbox
Formwire emails each submission to the people you choose, with the subject, sender name and reply address set by you. Every send is logged against the submission, so you can see it arrived.

Recipients you've confirmed
On Pro, send each form to up to 10 addresses. Every recipient confirms once from their own inbox, so nobody can use your form to mail a stranger, and a bounced or complaining address stops receiving until you fix it.
- On Pro, send to each recipient as To, CC or BCC.
- Recipients are shared across a workspace, so a new form reuses them.
Reply from your mail client
Reply-To is the visitor's email, so a normal reply reaches them. Set the subject and the sender name per form, with placeholders such as {field:name} and {form_name} filled in from the submission.
- Set replyto in the form to send replies somewhere else.
- Pass subject in a hidden field when one form serves several pages.
Retries and a delivery log
A send that fails is retried up to six times, after 1, 5, 15, 60 and 240 minutes. Each attempt is recorded on the submission, so the dashboard shows whether the email got through and why if it didn't.
- Retry a delivery by hand from the submission's page.
Stored first, then sent
The submission is written to your inbox before any email goes out. If a mail provider has a bad day, nothing is lost: it's in the dashboard with its delivery state and can be exported or re-sent.
Set the subject and reply address
Everything the email says is in the form's Email settings, or in hidden fields when you need it per page.
- 1
Add recipients under the form's Email settings. Each confirms from their inbox once.
- 2
Write the subject and sender name. Use {field:name}, {form_name} or {submitted_at} to fill them from the submission.
- 3
Leave Reply to the submitter on so a reply from your mail client reaches the visitor.
- 4
Open any submission to see its delivery log, and retry a failed send from there.

How fast does the email arrive?
The submission is stored and queued the moment it's posted; the email usually arrives within seconds. A failed send is retried after 1, 5, 15, 60 and 240 minutes.
Why does a recipient have to confirm?
The access key is public, so without confirmation anyone could point a form at a stranger's address. Confirming once from the inbox proves the person wants the mail.
Can one form email different people depending on the page?
Recipients are set per form, so make a form per team. The subject, sender name and reply address can change per page with hidden fields.
What if the email bounces?
The address is suppressed so it stops receiving, the delivery shows as failed on the submission, and the submission itself stays in your inbox. Fix the address and the next send goes through.
