Send HTML form submissions to your inbox.
Every POST becomes a formatted email in your inbox: on by default, on every plan, nothing to connect.
Email is FormWire's default form destination
Most form tools treat email as one notification channel among many. For a contact form it's the workflow itself: the place a lead gets read, answered and closed. So FormWire treats your inbox as the primary destination. Every submission arrives ready to answer, with Reply-To already set to your visitor. When the reply should go the other way, an auto-responder sends your visitor a branded confirmation.
Setup is verifying your address at signup; delivery is live from your first POST. Add more recipients, CC & BCC or per-form routing when you need them. Every email keeps a stored dashboard record behind it, so a lead never lives only in your inbox.
What every form-submission email includes
Reply lands with your visitor
Reply-To is set from the submitter's email. Hit reply in your inbox and land in theirs — no copy-pasting addresses.
Verified recipients only
Mail goes only to inboxes you've confirmed, so the public key in your HTML can never be used to spam anyone else.
Retries with visible status
Delivery is retried automatically, and the dashboard shows per-submission status: delivered, retrying, or failed.
CC & BCC routing
Copy sales@ on every lead and archive@ on everything. Pro adds CC and BCC alongside up to 10 verified recipients.
Setting up email notifications
Working before you configure anything.
Verify your inbox
Confirm your email address at signup. That's the whole setup, and only verified addresses can ever receive submissions.
Submissions arrive formatted
A clear subject like “New submission: Contact form”, then each field on its own line. No raw JSON, no digging.
Tune it per form
Choose recipients per form, and add CC & BCC on Pro. Every email keeps its stored dashboard record either way.
Email delivery FAQ
Recipients, deliverability and the details that matter.
No. Email delivery is on from your first submission: verify your address at signup and every POST becomes an email. There's no SMTP to set up and no template to write.
Yes. The free tier includes 2 verified recipient addresses and Pro includes 10, so different forms can deliver to different inboxes.
See pricing →Nothing is lost. Every submission is stored before delivery is attempted, sending is retried, and the per-submission status in your dashboard shows exactly what happened.
Deliverability. Sending “from” an address you don't own fails SPF and DMARC checks and lands in spam. Reply-To gives you one-click replies without spoofing anyone.
As secure links, not raw attachments. Uploads up to 5MB are stored and a private link arrives with the notification email, so a large file never bloats your inbox or bounces the message. The same link sits in the dashboard record.
As a formatted email, not raw JSON, with a subject like “New submission: Contact form” carrying your form's name, and each field on its own line. Recipients are tunable per form, so different forms can land in different inboxes.
They come from a consistent, authenticated FormWire sending address (SPF and DKIM), so they land in the inbox. Add that sender to your contacts once and every notification after it stays out of the junk folder.
Every plan, including free. Email is FormWire's core destination, not an upsell. Paid tiers add volume, more recipients, and CC & BCC.
