Do I need Zapier or any middleware?

What if the database is archived or disconnected?

Nothing is lost. Every submission is stored and emailed before Notion is notified, so the record stays in your dashboard and inbox regardless of what happens to the database.

A submission won't create an item in my database. What should I check?

Notion requires every database to have a Title property, and a select or status property only accepts options that already exist, so a field mapped to one of those needs the option defined first. Check that your mapped properties match the field types you're sending, then reconnect. The submission is stored and emailed whatever Notion does.

Can different forms write to different databases?

Yes. The integration is configured per form, so your contact form and your careers form can each target their own Notion database.
