Do I need Zapier or any middleware?

No. Slack is a native, direct FormWire integration. Connect it from your form's Integrations tab using Slack's own OAuth. No Zapier, no webhooks to wire up, no code.

No messages are appearing in Slack. What should I check?

First, confirm the integration is connected and pointed at the right channel in the Integrations tab. Then check that submissions aren't being filtered as spam (they won't post if they are), and that the FormWire app still has permission to post to the channel.

Can different forms post to different channels?

Yes. The integration is configured per form, so each form can target its own workspace and channel.

I archived the Slack channel and posts stopped. How do I restore them?

Slack rejects posts to an archived channel, so FormWire can't deliver there. Unarchive the channel, or open the form's Integrations tab and point Slack at a live channel, then reconnect. Posting resumes on the next submission. Nothing sent in between is lost; it's all in your dashboard.

Which fields show up in the Slack message?

By default the key submission fields (name, email, message). You can choose exactly which fields are included when you connect the integration.

Does Slack replace my email notifications?

No, it's an additional destination. You still get the email and the stored dashboard record; Slack is just one more place the submission lands.

What happens if Slack is down?

Nothing is lost. The submission is already stored and emailed before Slack is notified. The record stays in your dashboard whatever Slack is doing.
